To access Drugs and Docs special services in Ontario you must be a member of the
Iasis
Safeguard Health System - the most rigorous set of verification standards on the
worldwide web.
By coordinating your information with the physicians and
services you choose to use,
Iasis
Safeguard promotes your safety and discourages fraud on-line.
Annual cost: C$25.
The first step is to see if your Doctor is in Iasis.

- Prescription Renewals In Ontario
The Iasis Safeguard system does
a personal and data confirmation. Once you are approved, you are
able to access the Drugs & Docs renewal services that are designated
Members
Only
Ontario Prescription Renewals
- For a prescription renewal in Ontario, the Iasis Safeguard client requests
a prescription renewal on-line.
- Up to three listed (non-narcotic - non-critical) medications may be
selected per request.
- Iasis forwards the verified request to the client's own physician by fax.
- The client's doctor approves or declines the request.
- If approved, the prescription is signed and faxed by the doctor to the
patient's pharmacy.
- If declined, the patient will be contacted by the physician for an
appointment.

Ontario Patient Referrals To U.S. Specialists
- Ontario Patient Referrals To U.S. for MRI, CT, Mammography Scans
The Iasis Safeguard Plus health system includes a very thorough
annual review of a client's history, present medications, known conditions
and client observations.
Ontario Referrals To U.S. Specialists
- Iasis Safeguard Plus clients who wish to see a U.S. specialist for assessment or
treatment make their request on-line.
- The client sees an Ontario physician for assessment and referral.
- Client begins assessment or treatment in U.S.
- Follow-up reports go to the client's physician.

Ontario Referrals To U.S. MRI, CT & Mammography Scans
- Iasis Safeguard Plus clients in Ontario who wish to go to the U.S.
for scans make their
request on-line.
- The client sees an Ontario physician for assessment and referral.
- Client goes to the U.S. for scan - usually within a week.
- Results are usually available within 48 hours.
- Follow-up reports go to the client's physician.
