Doctors in Ontario, Canada are invited to join the Drugs & Docs program at no cost.  
 
You will need no new equipment - just your fax machine.  This program is a very conservative approach to increasing patient access to you and their pharmacy.

No more need for telephone renewal requests with the legal liability, office disruptions and lost income.

Earn additional income - C$10 per prescription renewal request - outside the cap.  Each request may include up to three medications.

  1. You receive a fax with your patient's request.  
  2. You assess whether it is appropriate.  
  3. If the answer is yes, indicate the dosage details on the fax, sign and date it.  
  4. Your staff can fax it to the patient's pharmacy - already indicated on the form.
  5. If you want to see the patient before issuing a renewal - your office calls the patient for an appointment.
For your patient - there is the convenience of requesting the renewal online.  No time off work.  No waiting for an appointment.  Their cost - C$15 per renewal request of up to 3 medications.
